heads up

well today is the day of the BIG heads up trny locally live. i have been practicing, watching videos and playing a bit all week.

i decide to play a HU cash game on stars just a bit ago.

50nl
hands-63 only played for 20min
+$46

played the lowest limit they had on line. way out side my BR but i think it is fine to take a "shot" here and there dont want to do this to often though. maybe when i build up i will try the heads up every so often.

tired

went and saw TAKEN today. awesome!! just the type of movie i was looking forward to seeing. best way to describe it is... a 50+ yo Jason Bourne has a daughter who gets kidnapped. the movie was really goot i highly recommend it if you are in the mood for an action movie.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0936501/

best line in a movie for quite some time. i'm sure you have heard it in the commercials. but, it still is a kick ass line.

Bryan: I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.
Marko: [after a long pause] Good luck.

i was disappointed that the scene they show in the t.v. trailers was cut from the U.S. version. where he jabs metal spikes in the baddies leg. oh well. plenty of other villains being dispatched through out.

i was gonna play on line tonight and started to but i am just really sleepy. when i started to play i just couldn't focus. i did think i might try to play like 7 or 8 tables at a time though of 10nl since i seem to crush those and have difficulty at the 25nl level. that's me always trying a new strategy. that's the beauty of on-line poque.

well since i can't get myself to play poker gonna go watch some thursday night DVR'd shows.

mixxing it up

well now that i made silver star i was feeling a little burned out with all the 6-max nl. so i played some 8 game mix. i think i played the .20/.40 level. only played 1/2 a rotation. made a few $$. then i watched a DEUCES CRACKED video. so i got in a mood to play o/8.

.50/1.limit
hands-348
-$6

played the 4-handed PLO stars trny. with my trny ticket. went out in 20th. blah. went up vs chip leader with my AAxx v KK2x

flop- 962
all-in
turn- 2

not sure how good i was on that flop.thought i saved the HH but i looked and couldn't find it.

oh i also played a 4 person HU sng. only paid winner. i was card dead. managed to get him in 1 time to get chip lead late. then ran my ss into his A8 v A5. oh well think i learned a lil something for the HU trny saturday.

watched nip/tuck today from this week. the scene with dina meyer in the office. sickening. that show can throw out a shocker. gonna watch some o/8 vids and try to PWN that .50/1.limit game. i must be playing to tight.

silver star

i made it!!!
now i need to maintain it. i just need to earn 50VPP's a day during the next month to do that. and when that happens i will also have my $150 bonus released.

Dear themerk08,

Congratulations! You have achieved SilverStar VIP status.

Your VIP level lasts for the rest of this month and all of next month.

This entitles you to the following rewards:

- 50% FPP Multiplier - you now earn 1.5 FPP credits instead of 1 FPP credit
- SilverStar VIP Store access - choose from new and exclusive merchandise in the SilverStar store
- $500 Daily VIP tourneys - 3 x a day - 10 FPP entry
- $20,000 Weekly VIP tourneys - Saturdays at 14:30 ET - 100 FPP buy-in
- $100,000 Monthly VIP tourney - last Saturday of each month - 130 FPP satellites available

played close to 1000 hands today.
made $34 in 10nl
lost $35 in 25nl

ugh my problem seems to be in 25nl that i loose big hands and in 10nl that doesn't happen. i need to be a little more conservative when players start firing back on me when my hand isn't as strong. i need to realize these players are not making sophisticated moves. i have been getting used to my HUD more. i picked off a few ill timed bluffs by my opponents.

not much else to post about. it is a grind. but enjoyable.

25nl

depending on how i feel today i will give the 25nl another shot. i am bankrolled for it. i will set my stop loss at 4 buy ins though.. ($100) if i lose that then i WILL drop back down to 10nl. and i won't give 25nl another shot till i get to that $850BR level again.

thing are looking up

i reviewed my session from yesterday. it wasn't as bad as i had though. i am still wondering if i was running really good for the past few weeks or if i am running bad now. not sure.

well not a bad day. getting back on track.
945 hands
+$24

not thrilling. i know. and not as much fun as playing 25nl where it added up . i am 100FPP away from silver star. to me that is important. it gives me a really good goal to shoot for.

speaking of FPP's i used 1680 of them tonight to play some Sunday 200 grand satellites. i figure if you cash 1 out of every 4 you are getting good value. i play the 210fpp sattys. 20 players. top 6 get $11 voucher. i was gonna use 5000FPP's for $50 cash. but instead i went and cahed in 4 of the 8 i played. so i now have $44 in trny vouchers!! so basically $44 for $16.80.

the fields are so soft. i must not be the only one who notices cause there was were a couple super novas playing them also.

on the entertainment side of things i watched the 1st 2 episodes of B.S.G. today. very good. love that show. this is the last season of it however. i still have all this seasons episodes of 24 to watch. think that is like 6hrs worth of t.v.

vacation is good so far. resting. my knees are feeling better as well as my right foot/ankle which has been killing me the past month and a half. really needed this time off.

varience??

well the day started off well enough. i got hold em manager installed thanks to one of the mods on the site. and after that is when my day went right down hill. kept running into cooler hands or getting re-raised like crazy. it is the most difficult day i have had since i started this little experiment.

i did drop down to the 10nl game it was going so poorly hoping to recover a little. didn't work. maybe i played really bad. i know i did to start with and that i am sure cost me 3 or 4 buy ins. i always try to be aggressive while i play and that cost me since i don't think i hit one draw the entire day/night.

on the plus side i am about 133vpp away from becoming a silver star on poker stars. i also am about 1600 vpp's away from clearing my deposit bonus.

guess i will play the 10nl Tuesday. see how it goes. i also might play some satellites tomorrow. really upset about this. i thought when i got this software my winnings would shoot up.

was i playing badly?? looks like i did on this one.
